       Kathleen is a brilliant communicator, professional as well as fun! Kathleen thoroughly understood me and my fitness needs; she knew I was motivated to improve my daily function and quality of life, but also that I don’t enjoy working-out. For example, I work in a kindergarten classroom and was struggling to squat at children’s desks. Kathleen targeted exercises and stretches that made a world of different to my functioning at work. Later I developed knee pain from long hours walking on concrete floors and she gave suggestions for running shoes that fixed the problem within days. She was skilled at varying the degree of intensity in our exercise sets in response to my verbal (or body language) feedback to keep the activities achievable and motivational. This experience was far more valuable than I expected. I was surprised to see improvements in such a short time, especially considering I only worked-out in the sessions without any homework practice. I found Kathleen’s greatest asset is her communication style and ability to relate to a client with little fitness experience. She is a knowledgeable and enthusiastic trainer who clearly enjoys working-out, but she is also motivational and good humoured for those of us who would rather be drinking a cup of tea & reading a good book! Having a trainer I could be honest with about my motivational challenges was a real gift. Kathleen is wonderful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to friends and family.
