My career in fitness began in the final year of my Honours English Degree program at UVic. Through exercise I found the stress-relief and fulfillment I needed to manage the pressures of life as a working student. I realized then that a career helping others feel better, improve their quality of life, & build confidence through fitness was what I was really meant to be doing.

Since then, my passion for a career that relies so heavily on both the arts and the sciences has grown exponentially, second only to my  passion for helping clients break through their own mental and physical barriers in fitness. Watching my clients-turned-friends blow their own minds with what they can do will never get old.

I am an avid learner who cannot stop taking continuing education courses. I believe that the challenges of working through some of my own personal barriers have not only given me a tenacity for continued learning, but have predisposed me to lead with empathy, patience & curiousity.  One-size-fits-all does not exist in my world, and I could not be happier about that.

I am a Certified Personal Trainer (CSEP), a Corrective Exercise Specialist (NASM),  and I hold a Personal Fitness Trainer Diploma from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. I am a lifelong athlete, & one of my most treasured accomplishments is completing an Ultramarathon in 2017. My current fitness goals include improving my freestanding handstands (form and duration) & increasing my pull-up capacity.
